Starting January 8, 2025, all U.S. visitors will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the United Kingdom. This new measure aims to enhance security and streamline border processes, ensuring a seamless experience for travelers.

Who does this apply to?
This will apply to all U.S. Travelers visiting the UK.
What is an ETA?:
- A digital travel permission linked to your passport.
- Valid for multiple trips over two years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner.
- Allows stays of up to six months.
- Costs £10
What you need to apply:
- Your passport (you will upload a photo of your physical passport)
- A payment method (credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay)
Exceptions:
- British or Irish citizens
- Individuals with a UK visa
